The job

What a Google Ads agency does.

A Google Ads agency runs your pay-per-click account for a fee: it chooses what you bid on, excludes what you don't want to pay for, writes the ads, checks where the clicks land and proves the conversions coming back are real.

That is the whole job. On a mature, consolidated account it is judgement about a small number of changes, not volume of activity — which is why it can be sold at a flat price, and why an agency selling you activity is selling you the wrong unit.

Choosing one

How buyers actually shortlist agencies now.

Increasingly, they don't read ten agency websites. They ask an AI. On 12 August 2026 the UK AI Overview for "google ads agency" cited eight agencies; four of them do not appear in the organic top ten for the same query on the same page. The shortlist your buyers see is no longer the ranking.

However you found this page, apply the same three questions to everyone on your list. What exactly does the fee buy, in writing? Who owns the ad account when we part ways? And what does it cost — before a salesperson decides what you look like you can afford. Two of those questions are answered in the next section. All three are answered on this page.

This agency

Run like a product, not an engagement.

Published prices

Three plans, three printed prices. The fee is flat inside the band and never negotiated, so there is nothing for a salesperson to do here.

Published limits

Platforms, markets, spend band, campaign count, response time. A plan is defined by limits, not a bespoke scope, so you know what you bought.

Your account stays yours

We link to your customer ID. Your admin access never changes and the history stays with you when you leave.

The change log

Every change recorded with the date, the reason, the baseline and how to roll it back. Open it whenever you wonder what you're paying for.

One boundary, stated up front: nothing gets built on your estate. Pages, tracking, CRM — we diagnose in writing, your people apply it, they keep the knowledge. The ad accounts are the only thing we operate. The full published spec is here.

Google is usually the bigger half, rarely the whole of it. Microsoft Ads is sold on the same plans, with one account's build published month by month. Everything paid sits under the paid search hub.

The plans

Three plans. The difference is limits, not scope.

Read the table, pick a row. Growth is the standard plan; what £3,500 a month covers and what it never does is published in full.

The price you see is the price you pay. Ad spend is separate and goes straight to the platforms. No setup fee, no percentage of anything, no markup, no commission.

Three months, then cancel any month. A change to a search account or a site can't be judged in one. From the fourth month there's no minimum term, no notice period and no exit fee.

Your cost per conversion comes down, or we keep working for free. We agree the baseline from your last 90 days before anything in the account changes. If your cost per conversion at comparable spend isn't below that baseline by the end of the third month, the work continues at no charge until it is. It needs 90 days of history, spend within 30% of the baseline and tracking left intact. If your offer or your landing pages change, the clock pauses rather than the guarantee ending.

Move between tiers whenever you want. An upgrade starts the same day. A downgrade starts on your next billing date. No penalties, no call, no new contract.

The evidence

One account, two years.

A UK B2B business selling a considered purchase through a sales team. At handover: no negative keywords, more than half the daily budget in a single ad group pointing at the homepage, thirty-plus campaigns with no naming convention.

Questions

What does a Google Ads agency cost?

Most agencies price as a percentage of your ad spend, typically 10 to 20%, or quote a management fee after a call. Ours is flat and printed: £1,500, £3,500 or £6,000 a month depending on the limits you need, on a three-month term and month to month after that. At the top of the Growth band that is 3.5% of media. The fee never moves with your spend inside the band.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. We work through a manager link to your Google Ads customer ID, and your admin access never changes. Cancel and the link is removed; the account, its history and its data stay yours. Any agency that runs your ads inside an account it owns is holding your history hostage, and you should walk away.

Do I get an account manager?

No. There is no account manager, no weekly call and no scope to negotiate. What you get instead is a reporting rhythm: a Monday snapshot, a change log recording every change with its reason and rollback, and an answer inside one working day when you ask something.

Do you run Shopping or Performance Max?

No. Search campaigns on Google and Microsoft only. Shopping and Performance Max are daily, feed-led work and a monthly cadence cannot cover them honestly, so we do not sell it.

How is this different from hiring in-house?

A capable in-house PPC hire is £42,000 a year and up before employment costs, and most accounts under £150,000 a month do not contain a full-time job. The plan buys the senior read without the salary line. When your spend outgrows the top band, hiring in-house is the right next step and we will tell you so.

What happens in the first week?

The pre-flight. In the first five working days we read the account: conversion actions, tracking health, campaign count, spend against the band. Either the plan is confirmed and the first change log entry lands in week one, or it is cancelled and the month refunded in full with the reason in writing.
